Not too sure about chooks eating rubbard leaves, ours's eat rubbard leaves, potato leaves and will strip a chilli bush !

You can buy online at Hadeco. They have stock at the moment but sell out quickly as they only ship for a couple of months each year.

Hi Mike. I just planted an artichoke seedling. Found it at Bunnings. I read it will take about a year to bear fruit. Fingers crossed.

Do you want a few big ones or a lot of average to good size? My cues last year - if I had cut - would have picked 18 - left to grow 49 cues.

I have grow a Yacon as a test run and it went OK so I have 10 plants in now and they are about 1m high. When I harvest can I just plant the rhizomes straight away back into the ground or should I pot them first?

Okra takes 10-14 days to germinate so be patient.

try PEPPER JOE'S in the USA, specialised in super hot chilies. Mails seeds to Australia, with a good germination rate.

Plant 20cm apart rows 60-70cm apart. 15-20 seeds in 2-3 rows Try Boondie seeds on the internet – variety “bicolour” nice and sweet.

Better to plant 2-3-4 rows to have better pollination.
